I am a multimedia storyteller
studying Convergence Journalism and French at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. I write about diverse perspectives on campus and in the city, like SMU students’ responses to international issues, and local humanitarian programs that impact Dallas' international communities.
In the summer of 2019, I interned at D Magazine. I wrote, edited and fact-checked pieces for online and print content. Clips of my writing for D Magazine publications can be found here and here. My work will also appear in the September/October 2019 issue of D Home.
My work for the SMU's online newspaper, The Daily Campus, focuses on nontraditional college experiences, with a special concentration on showing diversity among the student body and alumni.
My colleagues and I founded SMU Crave, a lifestyle site for college students, of which I am the Editor-in-Chief. For this project, I designed and created the website, while also editing, scheduling and writing content. The team worked together to create a hybrid of news and culture that resonated with other students and made the city of Dallas more accessible.
I previously managed social media for both non-profit and for-profit organizations in Dallas. These roles included photography, social media strategy, marketing, copywriting and online publication.
Photography is a long-time interest of mine, and I have experience with DSLR cameras, as well as the production, editing and styling side of the craft. I write personal essays, design websites and learn languages in my spare time.
For more information on my professional work, read my resume or find me on LinkedIn. Other writing--like personal essays and academic work--can be found on my website's home page. My photography lives on Instagram.
